If you go camping, you need a pack which goes on your back.

If you’re going to school, you need a sack to carry your books. Equally valid is someone who needs a bag for their books, but...it’s still booksack.

Grew up in the northeast and still use these, although not as much anymore since most people in the south don't:

Sneakers - generic for any type of sports shoe
Tonic - generic for any type of soda
Jimmies - a/k/a sprinkles
Flip a bitch - illegal u-turn

I call a “backpack” a booksack bc it’s a freaking booksack.

Interesting. So the thing I put my tent, sleeping bag, and food in is a booksack?

People who "make" groceries.

The worse are the dumbass rednecks who say "learn me".

If we want to reach into the ghetto, they say a lot of shite I don't even understand, so I can't post it in this thread.

Kind of the other way around, I get weird looks when I ask someone if they want to "get down."

Context here would be if I'm driving someone and I need to stop to get something at the store. "I'm gonna stop at winn dixie real quick, you wanna get down?"

My wife thinks i'm weird because when I meet new people, I greet them with a hearty handshake and a "Howdy!!"
