We bring the kids to the germanfest in Roberts cove every year. They enjoy playing and I enjoy the beer and food. it was a couple of weekends ago though so you would have to wait until next year

GFest in the cove is fun but much more of a family thing than for tourists.
I really want to go see CBD at Rice fest, but will be at the LSU game.

Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival was cool. Again, they charge admission so a lot of trash is not there. Everybody seemed to be having a good time and the weather was great.

Roberts Cove Germanfest is excellent. I wish they had a larger selection of German beers but the food and the authentic German entertainment are very fun.

Renaissance festival in Hammond is good for a day or two. My 5 year old loves it. I walk around drinking beer watching goofy shite all day long and/or demonstrations.

Contraband Days in Lake Charles in May is another. If you're going during daylight hours.

It is another with the cultcha dialed up a little too high.

The last two times I've been after dark, my vehicle was also burglarized. There are still things to do during the day. Choose your parking area carefully, as well.

Livingston Parish fair!

Some of Louisiana's finest white trash all gathered up in one area. There's meth, muffin tops, crackheads, whores, rides running over kids, everything a family needs

I like Festival Acadien better than International but that's probably because I've never heard of 99% of the bands at International
