This one for fricking sure. Waiting for the "Dollar Shave Club-esque" answer to the scam of textbooks.
Amazon textbook rentals will save you thousands over the course of your college career.
Unfortunately, book companies have pivoted by offering single semester licenses to their online portals where many professors now assign HW and quizzes.

This year my place of employment is forcing us to pay $100 a month if our spouse has insurance offered at their place of business. So basically they're taxing us $1,200 a year for having a spouse that works.
Seems fair...
Ours is moving that way next year

You're paying for the weight of the contents not the volume of the contents. Rest assured the chip maker would rather have less packaging material, too.

It is my belief that any professor that uses the semester only $100+ online programs should be dick slapped in the face repeatedly.
hell my A&P professor required us to buy the $300 book and program for her class. She was co-author on the book and thus received royalties from her 600 plus students she taught

You do realize that DSC is repackaging and charging you more for something that you can just order off the Internet, right?
Yes, I do, but I am paying $2 a month right now for razors right now so I think I'm good.

Our company has a water treatment plant and to be honest, I dont think people are paying enough monthly for water. I get the argument of "we only use so much water" but the amount of money thats spent in chemicals for cleaning the water to certain safe levels is pretty crazy. When you consider just how many miles of pipeline is used to transport the water and keeping those pipelines clean, it all adds up. Hell we only have to get the water to a certain range in order to discharge back to the city, I can only imagine what it costs to actually get it to drinking quality.

Real Estate Agent fees. 6% no matter what the sales price.

We had the same thing. It was cheaper to us to pay the spousal surcharge than to have two separate plans though. We bitched about the charge but it didnt matter. We have a damn good plan so I'll deal with it.

Government protected entities such as utilities. Government protectionism via regulation is bad for the consumer.

He's not wording this correctly. He is charged a premium of $100 for adding his spouse to his health insurance policy. Employers are not obligated to insure anyone's spouse. They take on the extra burden and financial risk for carrying a non-employee. The $100 fee is a premium for the add. Even with the additional fee, I'd bet you're paying less by doing this otherwise you'd insure yourself through each person's employer separately. It's not a rip-off if you're saving money.

That is any soft drink at any business. Even grocery stores make a killing.

When was the last time you had your home A/C
unit(s) recharged?
It's well over a 100% markup.
