I figure some of you are alot more well-traveled than I am. So help me out here.

My wife and I would like to move from Atlanta at some point in time sooner rather than later. We would like to get out of Georgia, mainly to experience other places. She has lived in Georgia her whole life, while I have lived in either Lousiana, Alabama, and Georgia my entire life.

Preferably, we would like to go to a somewhat large city. Not necessarily Atlanta big, but atleast over 100,000-200,000 people. We are both young adults who like to do things, so we don't want to live in rural areas. A low cost of living would be a major point as well for what we're looking for.

I know there's more to life than the south, and I'm ready to go find it.

Not for long. Crime is skyrocketing there.

Go for Greenville, SC.

Low crime rate.

As of the census[75] of 2010, there were 23,800 people, 9,180 households, and 4,335 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,474.5 inhabitants per square mile (1,341.5/km2). There were 9,879 housing units at an average density of 1,442.2 per square mile (556.8/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 90.9% White, 1.1% African American, 0.6% Native American, 3.1% Asian, 0.2% Pacific Islander, 1.4% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.6% of the population.

What do the downvote queers have against the Pacific Northwest? There are a lot of you butt-pirates moving in up there.

I hesitate to say how much I enjoy living in Bend, OR because it's already growing too much/too fast. But it's a great town with amazing scenery and lots to do. Only around 100k in population, though.

My parents have a place halfway in-between, outside of Flat Rock, and the whole area is great. Haven't spent much time in Greenville other than the airport but I hear they have a neat riverfront.

Sucks to hear about crime going up in AVL

Western Kentucky is a great area. Bowling Green is a great town. Just big enough, and within an hour of Nashville.

That’s weird. Bend has over 300 days of sunshine a year.
