Ft pike would be a cool one. It's outdoors with plenty of room

If you have younger kids (and assuming this foolishness wears off), there is a smaller NASA Infinity center, just off of I-10 in MS.. not very big but my 12yo enjoyed it for a couple hours.

Yeah the Black Creek Canoe Rental place is near there. More than an hour, but worth the trip.
OP, you can rent a canoe right behind the Chimes in Covington and paddle the river there.
Go rent bikes and ride the Tammany Trace. Go have beer at Old Rail Brewing and/or Abita Brewery before or after.
Bay St. Louis is several bar/restaurant places near the water that are worth a visit during these shitty times we are living in.

City Park in Nola has a lot to do, especially for the kids

Stennis no longer does public tours.
I am a member at Infinity. It is a great escape for a coupke hrs. The place has no crowds and is interesting to the children.

TulaneLSU’s Poorboy Tour should be up and running any day now

I didn't know Stennis quit doing public tours. I did bring my kids to infinitely last year and they had a good time.

If Brittany Spears’ dad is still alive you can drive up to his place and watch him brandish a gun at you.
