I just hope my ST60 lasts until OLED gets the kinks worked out. I would hate to have to replace it with any LCD, and I know the current OLED artifacts reviewers describe would piss me off, too.

I don't even know what any of that means

Kid's bicycles are crap nowadays.

Tires were better in the recent past before all the manufacturers moved to china.

Fireplaces were better in the past, they didn't have to have all the extra EPA crap on them.

This is a myth IMO.

Laminated products are better for a lot of situations, but over time in a moist environment, they tend to de-laminate, which destroys the structural integrity.

I think the other guy was more getting at lumber in general. And he is 100% correct. Just in the 20 years that I've been framing houses, I can totally tell a difference in studs and plate. Nothing is fully dried any more and the quality of a stud and how many knots or waining on a stud has diminished.

Old timers will tell you that studs with any knots were thrown to the side and not used. Now anything goes. Osb instead of plywood. 3/8-7/16 instead of 1/2" on any thicknesses. I've torn into pre-fabbed trailers from the 70's that are built better than new construction from a structural standpoint.

Then they don't fit into the category "in the past".

Several years ago doesn't qualify as the past? The burn in issue was fixed over 10 years ago.

Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and other cookies/baked goods. They taste bland and almost stale right out of the package these days. Is it because of the trans-fats that were taken out?

totally agree with appliances...not worth fixing anymore. Must buy new.

When these were found only in cigar stores, they would knock your socks off. Now that you find them in every supermarket, they are watered down and weak.
