SFP is wrong about Plasmas. It was expensive and slightly flawed (burned images) and couldn't keep up with the "thin is cool" fad. OLEDs are the shite and produce better blacks than Plasmas.

Washers and Dryers is the answer. 60 year old Maytags were the shite

Movies and music.

There really hasn't been consistently good movies, unless you like rehashed science fiction crap, in 20 years.

Music? Since hip hop took over, it's complete garbage now.
Bring us all back the hair bands of the 80s.

Maybe these aren't really considered consumer products, but it is stuff that is paid for.

What do you mean "took over"? If you know how to use the internet there is loads of good music of all genres being made right now

Yes, but by the end of their lifecycle they had come down considerably.

This wasn't a problem for later models.

OLED will be better, but it's an example that price beats performance. LEDs did not produce the best picture, and a far inferior refresh rate, but you could buy a bigger, thinner LED with 1080p (lol) for similar money so uninformed consumers drove them out.

Then they don't fit into the category "in the past".

It is right now. It's just not at the right price point yet.

Definitely not the best picture but people learned that refresh rate doesn't mean shite for 95% of the content out there. When everything is being sent at 60hz, 240hz is useless.

Uninformed? If bigger/thinner was what consumers really wanted, then how are they uninformed?

You think the PS4 is worse than the PS3?

Not only that, but earlier models of the Playstation 3 were better than late Playstation 3 models.

I remember when 100K miles for cars was impressive and also a death sentence/money pit for some engines. Now it's nothing.

Mine is about to hit 200,000 miles. I'm not getting rid of it until I have to.

The old Burger King Whoppers. Were twice as big, and a thick, delicious patty of meat with melted cheese.

Saltine crackers. Pretty sure they started making them in Mexico. They are awful now. Taste old and burned.
