I rarely go to Costco without buying steak, whiskey and a couple cases of water.

They have brisket on sale pretty regularly as well. I think we have 2-3 briskets in the freezer that we caught on sale for about $40.

It's very good, and their pulled rotisserie chicken is kind of a game changer if you need to throw something together really quickly. It's packaged in vacuum-sealed bags in the cold section with their take and bake meals.

I went there about 10:05 this morning and the lot was full at the N.O. store so I just turned around and went back home and will go tomorrow morning when they open.

Guess all the folks were there to get things for the Saints game today.

It's too easy to go on weekdays when they open for me being retired. No sense putting up with that crowd and long lines at the checkout.

As far as what to buy, check out the variety of liquor and don't be afraid of their Kirkland brands. They have a huge selection of liquor and wine.

Their produce section is also good------IF you do a lot of cooking to use it up in the amounts they sell per package.

Meat prices are fair as are most other things in the store. If you don't use perishable stuff quick, pass on it. Same for things like rice, flour, sugar, etc. since they sell that stuff in 20 pound bags and up.

If you like frozen pizza, they sell 4 packs of their pepperoni that are decent for a frozen pizza and quick to prepare.

Look for the brand UNREAL in candy aisle. Individual size coconut bars covered in dark chocolate

Kirkland brand of frozen lasagna

Kirkland brand of frozen Italian Meatballs

Kirkland brand of dark chocolate ice cream bars

When buying their huge apple or pecan pies, we cut it up into 1/8 pieces and freeze individual slices in plastic containers.

Same. Had it last night and was amazed how good it is. Also, tried a plant based burger patty in the store and it was surprisingly very good. Not usually into those types of things.

That's my go-to for Bloody Mary's and other vodka cocktails. Can't beat it for the price and makes a fine drink.

When they have it, their Silver Tequila is also very good, but they don't always carry it.

Their wet wipes are top notch - those for makeup removal as well as those for your behind.

Oh, and their clothing section is lit.
