What Age Did You Stop Playing School/Club Sports?

My sixteen yr old son informed me last night that he was done with football, that's his last sport to give up.
He played Baseball, Football and Basketball year round from age five/six till now. Of course, I had visions of scholarships pouring in.
He got his stick wet this year (girlfriend) so everything else is meaningless.
I think I stopped playing about the same time, when I started driving

15. Not coincidentally it was the same time I started smoking weed regularly. They didn’t even drug test us back then so it wasn’t like I had that to worry about.

After 18 for the most part, but played adult league baseball in Little Rock for a few years and some more during my stint in Korea, so probably 32.

I quit basketball 8th grade, quit HS soccer 10th grade, club soccer 11th, and was kicked off tennis team senior yr.
Did reject tennis scholarship to SW Kansas JUCO before being removed from tennis team, though. Dry county. Chose LSU instead.
Senior year was a joke. Only needed to pass English to graduate. Had an out of state tuition waiver in the bag at LSU. School didn’t matter, at all.
Edit: sports became secondary quickly when I began partying around those years. Which lasted a decade.

I stopped regular baseball at about 13. I had one year left of the rec league but didnt want to do it anymore. Then a few years later my friends were playing senior league which was just a shite league for kids that didnt play legion or metro ball. I did that for a couple of years just for fun. It was a huge hangover fest. 
This was when I was about 16-17.

I stopped playing football at 14. I found out I was able to find more success in the band.

Quit track after 10th grade because of stress fractures.
Quit football after 10th grade because some neerdowells stole my Eastbay cleats and other gear. It wasn’t worth it anymore.

Quit baseball as a freshman and football a free sophomore year. Focused on basketball for rest of time.

I was down to just baseball and was stuck on the roster behind 2 really good middle infielders. One went on to play at a D1 school and a year or two in the minors. I was kind of burned out on sports anyway, and don’t really regret my decision.

18. I played baseball through Senior year.
Played men’s league baseball and softball until I was about 26.

14. Got left off an all star team in place of some coach's kid. Took up bass fishing. Ended up being an excellent decision as I've made way more money tournament fishing.

I played football and baseball all the way through high school, stuck with football even though I didn’t start until senior year and playing time was sporadic before that. Never considered quoting either and looking back….really glad I didn’t and really wish I would have worked a lot harder at baseball. I threw javelin too until senior year. Was never going to go to a meet as the two guys in front of me were top 5 in the state and 1 ended up winning. So I quit after junior year cause it was a waste of time
Man everyone says that, but even 30 years ago….90% of kids quit playing baseball after 12. Only kids that have goals of playing in HS will continue past that.
Thing is too….as mentioned, you start realizing where you are at talent wise, especially big schools. It’s more competitive than ever and some kids don’t want to put in work.
As far as football goes, if you don’t love the team aspect, practice can fricking suck. If you are not really into it and are not gonna have a chance to start, we’ll it’s easy to understand why a kid quits.

You mean they don’t want to play baseball year round from age 6 to 15? That sounds lik getting burnt out to me.
