I know it can be age group but is it heavily more weighted in a certain group than others.

This the guy fishing with an AR strapped to him? It's legal but the public gets riled up when he walks down the beach.

Hell no. Not Chicago or anywhere else. I don't think any rational person believes that society doesn't need a police presence.

Cops in nice towns are nicer than cops in shitty town. I wonder why.
If only science could figure out the correlation.
I've heard that students perform better in nice towns compared to shitty towns, too.
And that home values are higher in nice towns when compared to shitty towns.
I wish researchers could just hop on the case to figure out how to make shitty towns into nice towns, then we'd have nice cops, nice schools, and nice houses everywhere.

I never said we don’t need police

Police officers should be respectful but I love when they get dragged through the media for language and aggressiveness in the face of violent ghetto dwellers.
Officer jumps into the middle of a street brawl with people waving guns around and they expect him to be all calm and "deescalate" things. "Excuse me fine people, please lay down the weapons and retreat to the safety of your abodes so that we may discuss your conflict."
Reality: "GET THE frick ON THE GROUND!"

Cops are people.
There will be good with the bad.
That's like, your opinion.
I'm more inclined to go to the police if I need help than a "regular person."

There's a significant percentage of them who are degenerates or psychopaths, there's no other way about it.
I think if you look at it closely you'll see that as a percentage they are about on par with degenerates or psychopaths in the civilian population. Which is the pool in which they are drawn from so go figure.
You want better LEOs, Stop treating all the good ones just like the bad ones so maybe they'll stick around and train the younger ones. Also then you might be able to replace retiring LEOs with better quality citizens than what you have had to do over the past 5-10 years and practically hire felons and gang members just to fill out the duty rosters.
Here's an idea also. Train them and pay them better. Maybe stop making a political career springboard out of IA. Honestly weed out the bad ones and protect any good ones you might find that still are willing to stand up against the corruption and stop lettings the bad ones remain on and run the asylum.
Also I'm not sure how every other city does it but the police chief shouldn't be the mayors pet. Just a thought.
But in general it's a catch 21 now. Citizens treat most every LEO like a POS because they have had bad experiences so the good LEOs have gotten tired of getting shite on all the time so they have left or they DGAF anymore and end up treating people like shite.
It's a self fulfilling prophecy for everyone now. In a nutshell, cops are assholes but so are the citizens they encounter on a daily basis so if one side thinks the other is going to fix all the problems we're going to keep seeing the same shite day after day, year after year.

This is simply not true. If an officer is found to have given false testimony, this fact must be disclosed during discovery in all future court matters. It can have a crippling effect on the officer and the agency. Usually is a reason for terminating the officer.
This is correct. These officers can be put on something called the "Brady List". This is a list of people involved in the justice system that have engaged in some misconduct such as lying under oath and so on. These are folks that have done something that makes their testimony in court questionable.
Take a guess how many folks are on this list?
There are currently 1109291 individual profiles on the Brady List, including: law enforcement [Sheriff Deputies and Police Officers] and prosecutors.
Brady List
Article about officers complaining about decisions that provide no due process, can be arbitrary or retaliatory, and can end careers. , just like the decision to undertake a retaliatory action against an innocent citizen.

No, next time get a gun and don't get in trouble. I can't count a time a cop "helped" me. I can recall them being useless but not much beyond that.
Cops are necessary, but they shouldn't have any privileges or elevated status because of the badge. A cop won't be more honest or law-abiding than a civilian.

As someone who knows people from societies where police do jack shite... a flawed police force that occassionally does good is a hundred billion times better than a police that never does anything.
San Francisco and Portland should be the ultimate wake up call to those who want to neuter law enforcement

I don't hate them. I'll say this, if you in trouble, cops aren't going to help you. If you need them it's too late. You are in charge of you and yours.

No but I have seen the guy you are talking about. For supporters of the second amendment the content he creates should be very eye opening. He's probably a nut and he's going to wind up dead BUT the number of times cops will immediately escalate a situation with him is enough that he's able to upload a video or so a week. Thats just too often. What he is doing is ill advised, in my opinion and that ain't worth a nickel...but it is legal and the cops often lose their damn minds when they show up. His content also has "repeat" offenders....
The guy I was talking about is Big Nick from South Florida. He is very, extremely confrontational....it is HARD to watch at times....but the reaction of the cops, especially when it is the same ones over and over, is simply irrational given that they have to know, as long as he has been at it, what his aim is. They play right into it....and again, he only shows the bad encounters, I get that....but it happens often enough in the same area with the same cops that he is also able to upload a video or more a week....
I am not defending the "auditors"...what they are doing is an a-hole move, in my opinion, and it makes the cops job harder and probably more dangerous at times....but the fact that they continue to respond in the same manner over and over and over is very telling about their mindset, lack of training and piss poor judgement in general.
