Yes that was me.

And I left my key with Valet. I have on star and when they were looking for my keys this morning I checked the location and it was across town. When I called on Star they were unable to shut the engine off or connect to my truck at all

The worker who checked my ID at Caesars asked if I smoked weed. Blunts were smoked openly in the casino, and right out in front of the hotel, and down every street. The rickshaw-bicycle thing drivers were openly smoking fat joints sitting in the median waiting for customers, every time I walked by. A guy on the street with gold teeth named Tyrell asked if I liked candy and tapped his nose. I’m a pretty square looking 39 year old whitey in khaki shorts and new balances

Inside job. The valet called his friend and said he left the keys. Then he told them to disable the onstar when they found out you were tracking it.

That really sucks man

Jokes on you. The Westin doesn’t have a valet service.

In regard's to an inside job, I hope that's not the case . . .

But would explain a lot. Westin and the cops should have a nice little get together.

That is also the Houston experience.
And they have devices that absolutely let you steal cars without the keys. Happened to a buddy of mine in Houston, oddly enough at the Westin downtown.

What am I missing here? Isn't that how it works?

I'm poor so I don't use a valet.

Same here, F250 parked a block away in an open lot. Second time they only stole everything he had inside of replacement truck.
Cousin had a 2020 Kang Ranch (9,000 miles) stolen in San Antonio after valet parking.

The valet took the keys and parked the car like he was supposed to. Then he ‘accidentally’ left the keys in the car. (The car is supposed to be locked and the keys kept at the hotel). Then he called his friend who steals cars and doesn’t work for the hotel and let him know.

Well how else will they get to community college. Think of the good you are doing providing transportation to the inner city utes to get an education

A car is stolen in a big city. That’s never happened anywhere else ever.

Didn't happen this time either. No one is stealing a generic f150.

A very nice hotel with a valet service is not where you expect hoodrat shite to happen, doesn’t matter what city you are in

Did valet have your keys?
Son in law Silverado was stolen in Houston.
All on video.
No keys needed. Less than 2 minutes from drive up till driving away.
They cut a bunch of wires which disabled OnStar and other services.
Evidently the truck was acting up and they parked it at a school 4 miles away.
Chevrolet never could get the electronics back working correctly so he got rid of it.

If it’s in the care of The Westin aren’t they responsible for purchasing you a new truck?

Happens a lot more in certain cities than others.
