Golden Corral

Smells like an old folks home pissy mattress.

I'm well aware they had enough business to operate the two...but basic logic would say build them farther apart...maximize your business.

There are actually a lot of restaurants around here for the size town it is. Everything worth eating is east of the river though, the only non-chain restaurant that I think West Monroe has is Trappe's and it's just meh. WM is nothing but chain restaurants. There's plenty of good places to eat in Monroe though.

You can hire Bert as a coach with that lineup.

Is this Phase 1 of the Governor's master plan to keep CenturyLink in LA?

Not trolling but the new Golden Corrals are actually really nice. In a buffet kind of way of course, but it's a big step up from Ryans

Tallest midget, but still.

Didn't Monroe used to have a Ryan's Steakhouse?

Not sure but they do have The SlaughterHouse. It's located anywhere south of DeSiard St.

Don't know what all they have there. But I know one garbage hole I wasted money on. Duck dynasty restaurant

We just moved close to there. My wife is from the area and wanted to be closer to her family. She mentioned eating there last week and I told her I read the reviews and it sucked. I have never even been in the DD store and pass it numerous times.

Looks tasty.

WM does have Latin Food which is a Honduran place that's really good. Besides that I can't think of anything worth eating, and other than the movie theatre there isn't really a reason to cross the bridge.

I'm kind of excited about the Golden Corral to be honest.

Better go before the south Monroe "culcha" invades the "all you can eat" buffet.

I know the manager of the new CFA. He said the small one still made money and was justified because it helped traffic for the new CFA.

ChikFilA could build 4 restaurants on the same road within 1 mile of each other and all 4 would be filled at luchtime with the drive thru line wrapped around the bulidings with SUVs full of "I want to talk to the manager" types.

You like it up there?

I like it but I don’t love it. It’s basically like living in Denham without Bass Pro. Nice, simple people with a small town feel to it. I’ve attended many WM High baseball and football games and the community pride is impressive. I can see why some people don’t like it though. It fits good with where I’m at in my life right now. Enough nice looking women but plenty of fat trashy ones too. This place does love its tattoos though, I have noticed that.

I ate at Golden Corral once and will never go back.

Walkons is not bad. The food is better than it use to be, but it is a cool place to go to watch games and drink.

I have never been to a Panda Express. It seems like it is a place people either hate or love..

But I am glad West Monroe will give it's citizens an opportunity to experience things the outside world has been experiencing for years.

PE is actually ok...once you get used to Mexicans doing Chinese food.

GC has some pretty good items...as long as you have no issues with sharing everyone else's germs. A large percentage of their customers seem to lack the concept / meaning of the sneeze guards and hygiene products.
