Side notes - Wealthy people do not vacation in Jamaica.
Nicer resorts have their own medical staff, because rich Americans do not go to local hospitals. Next time spend the money rich boy.

Medical does not go on your credit bureau.
You DO go into medical collections, and they will pursue you. Wife works in this field. If you get sent to medical collections, they will first try to work out a plan with you. As long as you're paying SOMETHING, they'll just keep sending you monthly bills.

1) Jamaica isn't in South America.
2) I go to the islands at least 2-3 times a year and never stay on resorts and eat where the locals eat. Never been sick from it. The general rule is drink bottled water and you'll be fine.
The average American cant correctly label the seven continents on world map, I long ago gave up trying to explain that the modern world does exist outside the U.S.

Why are hospitals and doctors immune to this? If I ordered a steak at a restaurant and they brought out a charred, burnt piece of meat, I wouldn't pay for it. Even if I took a few bites just to see if it was edible.
