You said that was the ambulance ride, not the hospital stay.

If you bought a tv and later got a bill for more would you pay?
It would be more like you bought and paid for a TV, then got a TV stand you didn't pay for and was billed later for it. Would you pay for the TV stand?

I like how those who have had it in this thread choose to call it Montezuma's Revenge and not its other name, Traveler's diarrhea.

Got any paperwork to prove it? Is the bill sent itemized and shows you already paid $500 and what the other services are for.

What you are describing is done here all the time in the US if you go to an ER at a hospital. You will pay some fee or co-pay, you will then get bills later for other charges. Minimum there is the hospital charges and doctor charges, they are different entities.

This is also why it is better to go to the pop-up ER and 24 hour care places in the USA, less overhead.

He said he paid for the ambulance ride up front, which could be a charge for an entirely different company.

He basically admitted he never paid a hospital bill but just seems to be confused about the process.

Are you actually this stupid or are you being intentionally obtuse? If I took Uber to Best Buy, I wouldn't think paying the driver entitled me to the television of my choice at Best Buy's expense.

Do you think a ride in an ambulance covers the bill for whatever happens at the hospital? Hangnail or heart surgery ... Doesn't matter! I paid the ambulance driver $500!

I have news for you. If you arrive at a hospital in an ambulance in the US, you'll receive a bill from the ambulance company as well as a bill from the hospital.

And here's a final "heads up" about life as an adult. If Acadian Ambulance takes you for a ride, it's going to be a hell of a lot more than $500. You'll want to try to remember that next time you have a tummy ache.

PS - You sound like you still have a little sand in your vagina, Nancy. Try rinsing again.

Mail them a bad check. By the time it gets through the system and returned, you'll already be dead.

Why not consider calling the credit card company and stopping payment on the hotel bill after you check out? What would the hotel do?

Would you expect someone you rendered services to stiff you just because they happen to live in another country?
