Dude moved up there and left his wife at home for like a year until she can afford to move to join him. It wasn't for a job or anything. He just wanted to move to CO.

Good for him. Most people don't have the balls to do it.

Nice pics though. Did something similar in Montana years ago. Rode horses up into the mountains and fished along rivers. Was checking for bears every minute and every time heard a noise. Kinda nerve wrecking when you know no one is within hundreds of miles of you.

Most people have obligations and can't just quit their job, leave their wives, and hope it all works out somehow.

Bruh, you should be fishing the Dream Stream between Eleven Mile and Spinney Reservoirs, or the Blue River between Silverthorne and Green Mountain Reservoir. Once they thaw out of course. Also, Taylor Reservoir, Taylor and Gunnison Rivers, and Blue Mesa Reservoir. Taylor Res is amazingly beautiful.

This is exactly what the guys in the fly shop told me. Definitely something I'll check out once I have time to learn some fly fishing. They said that area is the longest continuous stretch of "Gold Medal" fishing waters in the entire country. Can't wait to check it out.

There's exceptions to every rule

I considered moving to CO or something for a change of pace, and my business allows me to work from anywhere with a phone and internet, but I also have a father battling cancer I help with a lot. Just saying that it's not all about "having balls" like you think it is.

After all of that crap you didn't catch a fish, you only brought 1 lure, and you lost it after 4 casts? Jesus dude.

You didn't catch any fish, but at least you didn't get raped by a bear.

We don't have places like that around the city of Tuscaloosa.

The Eastern side of the US may have some nice places, but the Western side just trumps everything in the East. Just much, much better scenery.

I mean... the fishing quickly became tertiary to 1. the scenery, and 2. Not dying. I didn't so much mind. Added some comedy to it from my eyes.
