A rock.
I'm hoping to be back out there next weekend. Hopefully they'll open that gate up soon and it'll be an easier trek.

Killer fishing hole.
How far do you think the walk in was?

As best I can tell, a straight line from my truck to the Rainbow Gulch would have been about a mile and a half. The route I took was probably a little over 2 miles.

Don't judge, Stout

I am judging. Sort of a dick move and selfish but it's their business. Doesn't mean I can't have fun with it on here to pick on him.

But this was clearly a "good vibes" thread and you're in here with negativity

I hate you....I would move to Colorado in a heartbeat if it weren't for kids.

Yeah, that's not exactly how the story goes. But that's certainly a more entertaining version.
My wife is a teacher. She stayed back to finish her school year while our house sold (it sold recently). She'll be coming up here in about 3 months. In the mean time, I'm running a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

No, but I will definitely be carrying my pistol the next time I go. Had no idea what that little trek was going to entail. Those tracks had me checking over my shoulder every few feet like a giant poo-nanny.

Thanks, Grim. I appreciate that.

But you didn't have a job lined up when you moved up there or at least that's what you were hinting at in your original thread about it. Maybe I read it wrong?

BTW, I am just being a dick because you are an annoying bastard on the SECR.

Bruh, you should be fishing the Dream Stream between Eleven Mile and Spinney Reservoirs, or the Blue River between Silverthorne and Green Mountain Reservoir. Once they thaw out of course. Also, Taylor Reservoir, Taylor and Gunnison Rivers, and Blue Mesa Reservoir. Taylor Res is amazingly beautiful.
Thank me later.

Yeah, basically I just turned the work I was doing for the non-profit into a full time job. It's all essentially computer based. E-mails, financial databasing, etc... stuff that can be done anywhere. That wasn't really what I had envisioned when I originally moved up here, but I guess everything works out for a reason. Turns out, Colorado Springs has one of the largest non-profit bases in the entire country, and we've been able to do some incredible networking and expansion.
