New Orleans doesn't have a single 3 star rated restaurant?
The Inn at Little Washington has 3 stars. There’s a TV show out there from a few years back about its efforts to get from 2 stars to 3. Nothing in New Orleans comes close to this place.

GW FIns should get some attention. One I recommend to people going to NO.

Emeril’s was good years ago but has been a disaster since he hung it up and handed it off to his son.
Sorry, I don’t want to spend $240 a head so I can NOT choose what I eat (fixed menu) and the items are two inches diameter but served on a 24 inch plate.
Also BRING BACK THE BBQ SHRIMP. The old Emeril’s promised the bbq shrimp would “never leave the menu” and guess what, they’ve left the menu.

For pure dining pleasure, commander’s is the top of the heap. Everything is perfect. Not one single hair out of place.
It’s no longer 2003. The new Emerils blows commanders out the water, not that you’ve even been.

This would be amazing satire

Getting 3 stars on the initial release is really tough. Le Bernadin (and Alenia) being one of the few I can think of.
Even with that said, New Orleans is going to really struggle to get 3 stars anywhere because of what is required to maintain that level. Stella! back on the day is the only New Orleans restaurant that could have come close IMHO. Not sure how my memory has held up over time when compared to what is that standard now.

Anyone leaving the new Emeril’s hungry is obese

You should probably just stick with eating at buffets.

Top rated restaurant in New Orleans?
fricking Emeril’s
I haven't been since EJ took over and revamped the whole place but I believe this was kind of his vision to turn it into more of a tasting menu Michelin type place.

Uhhhh huh?
Since they remodeled and redid the concept they are clearly the best restaurant in New Orleans.
The 2 stars is deserved. They are doing things that no one else is.
(Saint Germain is still my #1 in the city)

On The Baker is an actual no nothing retard.
Saint Germain would be a star in any city. It would get one in NYC.

Too bad that The Table is Bread is closed, it would have made the list for BTR.

People who think otherwise come to New Orleans once in a blue moon. Emeril’s is good, but it’s a pimple on an elephant’s arse to commander’s.
Not the new Emeril’s. The old one maybe.
The new Emeril’s is an elite restaurant.
Commanders is a wonderful experience but the food is not Star quality

Sometimes they may even carve out a field so one can appear to win just because they want everyone to appear as a winner.
That is how you know almost all awards are fake or very suspicious.
Aw hell naw! Participation award infecting the restaurant bidness now?
So if you PAY for the privilege of participating, they will create an award to give to you. I guess the most expensive ads get the biggest awards.
Bring back the “Fickle Finger of Fate” award. (Other boomers will know what I’m talking about).

I’ve been to 3 Michelin places. New Orleans does not have a place that is 3 stars. Emeril’s is the closest and I don’t think that every happens
I’m not sure Nola ever will have a 3.
Being 2 is incredibly rare and amazing in its own right.

Supposedly Michelin won't award that first time out.
