1. Senate Democrats & Republicans negotiated a deal that helps both workers and companies.
2. Nana you Pelosi came in with a laundry list of demands, demands she knew have no hope of passing and many of which have nothing to do with solving the crisis.
3. Senate Democrats got in line with the Party Line and killed the bill.

But politicians that enrich themselves and their families with political favors is fine.
I'm sure Hunter Biden was worth every penny of that 50k per month to that Ukrainian energy company, considering he doesn't know shite about energy

Yes, everyone who runs a business should be prepared to have no income while the government fricks up commerce. Tell me more.
Yes. They should be prepared just like I am and not have their fricking hand out all the time. Companies should have emergency funds and plans for a short period without income just like citizens should.

Going to be a shitshow the next few weeks when people are income less and D.C. is fighting over pork
THis right here.
Lots of people need money but lets make sure we have funding for abortions, cancelling student loan debt entirely, and cancelling post office debt.

Either side needs to be admonished for adding this kind of bullshite pork to the bill at a time of crisis.

Yup. The Democrats fricked the country for sure with this move.
It’s shite from both sides. Anyone pointing fingers at either party right now is being disingenuous. Both have tried to add unnecessary pork and knowingly added “non-starters” for both parties.

Not a big deal and I’m not really fricked by this virus
That said I don’t believe I’m eligible for it so it’s a moot point

Your leaders are failing you, and it's not just the democrats.

What does that have to do with forcing a business to only pay a certain amount to someone?

Let's not pretend like this is some ordinary economic downturn.
Let’s not pretend like this is the only time they have their hands out begging for money from the government. We can’t bail out everyone. It also encourages companies not to have cash reserves in the future because if they get in trouble Uncle Sam will just come to the rescue.

This petty bullshite is why I will not vote for republican or democrat in any election ever again.

Seeing reports that labor unions called up dems yesterday and told them to oppose the bill until expanded private sector collective bargaining rights are included
Are you kidding me?
frick labor unions.

The government shut down the economy. They need to be helping out the people that they fricked.

I want private industry to be ready for economic downturns and not have their fricking hand out every time something happens. If they cannot survive a couple months downturn, then they are poorly run and shouldn’t survive.
So you think it’s feasible for the average business to have little no no income for weeks or months and keep hugging along on it’s own without a hitch?
Also, What good does it do if you help workers through this crisis if when it’s over they don’t have a job to go back to?
Posted on 3/23/20 at 11:41 am to BluegrassBelle
Not that it really matters to me. I'm on disability so probably won't get anything anyway.

You think Delta airlines would be in a different situation right now if they didn't pay 100 million (or whatever it was) in executive compensation?
