There is nothing to agree with. The kid is gay.

But if you are giving kindness and decency, then you are supporting him, like a decent person would.

The troll OP said they took his pictures down. Although this never happened, it would be a POS move.

And then the other moron claimed disown means disapprove.

There are many people across the world who would be disappointed in their kid (even though it's not his kid) who would be disappointed in the child's choices. And you're calling all of those people bigots. Therefore, being an "indecent" human because you don't empathize with them.

Why do you empathize more with the teen's feelings than the father's? Because you're trying to take some ambiguous moral high ground. That is all...

I’m not sure if you’re purposely obtuse, or really can’t comprehend intention and feeling in someone’s writing. Are you trying to convince yourself that anything about his post suggests that he is just being decent when he says “Either way I have to worry about this kid smelling my underwear.” (I’m betting that his stench is such that he can be smelled from a distance, but whatever.)

I can empathize with a child who is rejected for being who he is.

No, I'm calling you out for doing the same thing as he is.

See, there's a stance one can take where I can disagree with both the kid's choices and the stepfather's reaction. But I won't sit here and act like I'm standing up for morality or decency and then do the exact same thing you are all piling on the step-dad for. His reaction to something he doesn't agree with is just as valid as your disagreeing with his reaction. Doesn't make you better than him because you would have done something different.

Yet you lose all empathy because you disagree with someone for being themself and feeling how they feel. You're a hypocrite. Plain and simple.

When kids get to middle school age, recognizing a step dad as an authority figure is a very hard road.
wow this thread got legs… never had a step dad but my parents divorced in 7th grade when I was a senior 17 or 18 my mom first starting dating ( her husband now) and I was not cool with that, there was No way another man was coming into my( I get it now her house) house, she kicked me out it was bad, we’re all good now but to ask a teenage age boy to have some other man in his house , not gonna
happen.

I personally know parents that would give anything to hold and love their child right now. If it were possible.

I personally don't care because he's not really mine, but my wife is a wreck. I keep saying he must have got it from his daddy. Either way I have to worry about this kid smelling my underwear until he moves out in august.

If you live in the same household he probably already knows about your Grindr profile. Stop freaking out. The drinking will only make matters worse.

Better gay than trans.

Seriously. I have tranny nephew and we all just wish he’d been gay. Instead, he’s insane, dresses like a girl and is dating a girl. Wtf.

Man, that took guts on his part. He must have been terrified. Seems his fear was justified He deserves better than both of you. Grow up.
