I can learn that, understand, and accept it. That does not mean I have to support it.

No you’re not. You can accept the person for who they are sexually; and you can still love them and show them decency. But you do not have to support them.

Some people certainly could claim to be for whatever reason, but they certainly didn't choose what traits they were physically attracted to. Do you believe that if you tried hard enough from here on out that you could make yourself physically attracted to men?

So should we accept and support pedos?

This is why blended families fail most often, kids with no interest or respect for the step parent. Marrying a women with kids is a chore. Youre not guaranteed to bond with those kids.
maybe I have had exceptional experiences but I have seen almost all step dads have good relationships w their step children.

I don’t think it is that rare when you talk about solid men

I think y’all are missing the point here. The bigger, more alarming point is that people are saying you must support the kid’s lifestyle or you’re a piece of shite.

Why must one support a lifestyle that you disagree with? And why must you support it or you’re a piece of shite?

I just re-read it and I had 4 typos. Sunscreened fingers and spell check did a number on me.

When kids get to middle school age, recognizing a step dad as an authority figure is a very hard road.

How many more times are you going to say that in this thread?

Boy, this is certainly one way to turn the argument that you should be supportive of gays.

Well you're either a piece of shite or just ignorant, so I guess you can choose.

Do you think people who think of you in a negative light because of your skin color deserve the same level of understanding for their feelings? Because you have about the same amount of control over that.

I mean, if we can’t choose who we’re attracted to, why are we so hard on pedophiles?

Or I can just not agree or support their lifestyle yet accept that the lifestyle exists and still show them the kindness and decency that they’re due?

But nope, I’m just a piece of shite, ignorant bigot.

That has no bearing on the way I act so I don’t really care.

Yeah man, just keep comparing consensual relationships between two adults of the same sex to fricking kids. It's brilliant.

Which was my point exactly. Y'all want to talk about decency but are judging just the same because they don't agree with you.

You idiot, judging actions is part of being morally consistent. Unless you think judgement itself is immoral, which is a very stupid take.

there is a whole lotta real estate between throwing a gay pride party and disowning a loved one.
