Yeah, the real ire should be aimed at mega-corporations like Wal-Mart that abuse the system far more than any single person could. And they only profit billions from it.
The real issue is that wages have stagnated for something close to 30+ years now. If people could make a decent wage, I'd bet most of them would work. But when you have to bust your arse and still come up short, why bother?

least you admit it now. Now you just need to work on your racism...and upvoting your own posts.
Still haven’t said who I think is superior. Or who I am judging.
Run away. You lost. Epically.
And I have never voted for myself. Or anybody else.
Another fail.

That fact that you are even questioning a strong, independent black woman is so racist!
She deserves that for being there through all her fellow black men’s struggles and hardship.
That black queen is the backbone and lifeblood to the strong black race.
She should get double what she is getting

It happens all the time. Sad note. Since they don't used stamps now, they still sell their card at .50 on a dollar.

Here is a hot take on this, if you start making too much keep them on the system and encourage them to make even more by giving additional benefits, then wean them off once they reach a level they are self sufficient.
It would be kind of like the EIC tables. The more you make to certain level you get more, but if you go too high it starts coming down.
This way you encourage people to work more instead of cutting them out and making them think they need it.

I love all the people shitting on WalMart in this thread.
Provides more jobs than anybody in this board will ever dream of, provides low cost goods to highly at risk communities. hires high amount of retiree aged people, minorities, and disabled people, and give more to charity than anybody on this board will give in 10 lifetimes.
I can’t stand the place and barely go there, hate a lot of their business practices, but let’s shite on a company and ignore everything else because they maximize profits.

stop paying people to do nothing..... thats how you fix it.
Eliminate all federally funded social safety nets. Period.
Let churches and other local civic organizations perform those functions. They do a better job and they get better results.

They're able to now do a lot of that because of their exploitative practices over the years. They have recently begun to do better with higher wages, but for years they paid less than market rate in most of the areas they were located and a large portion of their employees needed welfare to supplement their income. All this while they were raking in massive profits.

Ive had employees miss just enough work so they could still qualify for Medicaid. Also had one ask for a pay decrease so she could maintain government benefits.
The system is broken because it encourages people to be unproductive.

Walmart is part of the main problem and plays a large part in the big scope of things with Welfare. Don't think they don't benefit from all the ebt and wic. I am sure Walmart is a major player in Washington and puts money in the pockets of lobbists and congressman saying please no social reforms please we like it just like it is $$.

The ole welfare trap.
Discount stores will never pay a "Living wage." In large, they do as much for poor people as the gubmint.
Drop welfare, enforce the border, watch wages rise.

This does nothing to address multinationals hiding money off shore, let alone the problem of outsourcing every single task possible to make next quarter's goal.
All that you said would just result in massive increases in prices as the illegal labor disappeared. It would get worse, not better.

And yet they employed more people, paid more taxes, and gave more to charity than you ever will.
WGAF if they don’t hire full time? Want full time? Work elsewhere. Want better than minimum wage? Work elsewhere.
Im not saying they don’t have really shitty business practices. They do (specifically to the product vetting and ramp up process if you want them to sell your stuff) but they’re not illegal and the government doesn’t force you to work there.

So what? That's what a corporation does. They also get tax breaks for those donations. It ain't because they really care.
When a company openly tells their employees to seek government aid because they aren't going to take care of then, it's a problem.
