Weird Event That Happened to Me Yesterday

This is going to sound like a stay at home mom Facebook post, but it legitimately happened.
Yesterday I went to the shopping center off of Claiborne that has the Raising Canes and TJ Maxx. It was very busy, so I had to park behind the shopping center by where the doors to the stockrooms are. I was in PetSmart for a total of 5 minutes, but when I got out to my car, there was a pair of women's panties tied to my passenger handle. I checked out my car and there was no scratches, nothing was opened, my tires were fine, and no one was hiding in my back seat.
What the hell was this about? Gang marked me? Crazy person left it there? Some human trafficker trying to steal me?
