D’Lo, Mississippi

A timber company was coming through in the early 1800s looking for a creek to run their sawmill. They found one and showed it to their boss. The boss said it’s too “damn low” but they set up there anyway. They started calling their camp Damn Low. As the community grew they shortened it to D’Lo because they didn’t want to cuss around the women and children.

I want to believe, but it doesn't look like the out of focus directional sign in the background matches "Big Beaver"

Isn’t Transylvania where they have a bat or something like that on the water tower. The first time I saw that Toad Suck sign on I-40 I laughed

Yes! I have a picture of the water tower and a train car with Jason (Fridy the 13th) grafitti on the side from the same day driving through. But of course with 5000 pictures on my phone I cant find it.

They say that there is a Beaver Crossing Nebraska ever since 1875. All I have to say is that it must be a damned slow beaver.
