That area called The Brickyard used to be pretty scary. Looks like they tore it down and put up a more modern version of projects. I'm sure it will look like shite in 10 years though
On the bright side, they have one of the best gun stores in the state, particularly for reloading supplies, right next to there: Simmons.

That Pullman Boxcar plant was massive and was in operation until the early 90s. There are so many awesome looking houses and churches on the ridge overlooking town, but they're all in disrepair and virtually worthless now because of the murder, gang bangers, etc.

This needs to be kept track of through the second weekend in June. After that seed the top 8 playoff style (1 against 8 etc…). Quarterfinals June 17th through 19th, Semis June 24th through 26th, National Champion crowned at the end of the 4 day long 4th of July weekend. Towns eliminated can still compete for consolation prizes to keep interest up.

We need to come up with a point system based on population. A murder in Houston isn't the same as one in Jackson.

You could use population basis but it doesn’t look like it matters

isn’t only a very small portion of Dekalb county even considered Atlanta?

Just wait till the killing season arrives in BR, deadly shootings will ratchet up headed into the summer season. It’s already 90 degrees and BR will be in for a deadly week, starting Monday.

This. Had a crusty old CJ prof in undergrad who had been an LAPD officer at one point who said air conditioning, or the lack thereof, was behind the numbers. When it gets hot they either migrate out onto the porch/sidewalk or head to the mall. Mischief ensues.

Exactly, Natchez will be in the top ten for sure if we come up with some type of per capita equation.

Just make it per capita.

I think it has a lot to do with school being out too.

I may need to dust off the Scanner Radio app.

LOL!
As long as I live I'll always envision that scanner radio on my grandparents table in the corner of the kitchen. My grandfather sat with his coffee for hours listening to that thing while my Noni cooked and did dishes.
