I would go, but definitely wouldn't get them a gift.

These I don't understand. If you already had a large wedding? Why put your family through 2? Guys expecting the same groomsmen to rent tuxes and throw a party? frick off. Did it once.

My cousin remarried and the spouse had never been married before. That case, you're screwed you defer to what the first timer wants. Or if both couple had shitty shotgun SETX or SWLA weddings ?

Tasteful thing is to have a quiet service. Then, hell throw a party and invite whoever you want there.

Recently attended one because the groom is a good friend. Funny enough I actually attended both of their first weddings. The groom is a widower with a daughter, his wife passed in 2013 IIRC in a car accident. The bride had a Jody break apart her first marriage, but the husband was a PE that worked off a lot so "loneliness" was the causation. Booze was free, food was decent, music was live, and it was awkward AF seeing her in a white dress knowing certain things .

Because 90% of America doesn't have an attention whore wedding to start with.

bit ridiculous to have a wedding after both the bride and groom have previously been married and divorced?

If they want to piss 20k+ of their money away for something that will probably end in divorce, that is their choice. Hopefully they have an open bar.

Who cares? So they failed at their first marriage and they are not allowed to hold a party to celebrate a new union with their friends?

People will bitch about literally everything.

my sister got married twice. First person ened up being a really shity dude through and through. My dad paid for that wedding its was a nice church wedding, big party afterwards. She gave it like 10 years just didnt workout.

Her second wedding, she truly found someone that truly loves her, vice versa.
But they just had a small get together, ceremony in their front yard. They paid for it all.

I dont understand having a thing everytime you get married, expecially people who get married 3,4,5, times. I do understand 2nd marriges, some people are just young and dont fully understand what they are getting into, or other things. but after that it just isnt special anymore.

Well brides wear white now too.

The old traditions don't hold as much anymore.
