Not me. Just got married for the first time. I just think it's an asinine question but not as asinine as some of the responses.

My SO was previously married. We have already established that were just going to have a drunken debacle with our closest friends.
I sure as frick am not paying for a big arse wedding. I could sign the marriage license and then just go to a nice dinner for all I care

Had a buddy do a low key one on his second go-round. Everybody was sort of hesitant to even go, but the marriage is going much better than his first. So, I am glad we went. The bigger issue for you is whether a NYE wedding is a narcissistic punk move or a cool idea. I guess if the alcohol is free, that's OK.

What does this mean? Why would you be hesitant to go? I mean, I'm hesitant to go to any wedding, because I'm antisocial. But are people really that taken aback by the second marriage of a friend that they have to think long and hard on whether to attend?
