Any fatties here wear rash guard shirts to the pool? I, myself, am not a fatty but am fair skinned and burn pretty easy. Typically stay away from the pool/lake water because I dont want to burn. I could apply sunscreen, which i do, but doing it every 2 hours all over is a pain in the arse.

Looking to get a rash guard shirt instead. Anyone have some good brands they would recommend?

I have a Patagonia one I wear when I go canoeing. Never worn it to the pool though. It's super comfortable and dries quickly.

Sandler and company were in supporting BLM before all of this craziness happened. Solidarity already with the all-black dad shirts!

Skin cancer poster child here...just get Columbia or any brand of the long sleeve shirts with a UPF rating. Rash guard shirts are too heavy for me.

Kids always asked me why we didn’t go to water parks. I said, I’m overweight, burn easily and wear glasses. Just imagine water boarding with a side of sun burn, and you can’t see it coming.

I've worn one once when I floated some place in TN (Hiawassee? Maybe?). It was my friend's and he recommended it to me and let me borrow it since I didn't have one. It was a Columbia brand shirt and it was very, very comfortable.

I'm glad I did wear it because we were out there way longer than I thought we would be. I only applied sunscreen before we started and got absolutely fried where my skin was exposed.

You would rather wear a shirt in the pool than reapply lotion like once? Shirt in the pool is torture.

I wear a Huk shirt at the lake because I am fishing all day and I think skin cancer sucks. Rarely at the pool or beach tho.

I don’t at the pool if I’m going for a short period of time but at the beach or lake I do. Have a family history of skin cancer (Mom had it at 16, Grandma has had several spots removed). Patagonia has some good ones.

I had started looking at those long-sleeve UPF shirts and then saw rash guard, so thought it was the same thing. I'll look back at the UPF shirts.

Thanks.

Same here. My mom has had spots removed her entire life. She is red-hair, fair skin. My daughter is the same way. Very red hair and VERY fair skin.

If i'm in the pool, the sunscreen is going to wear off much faster. I know they're "waterproof" but for someone that is fair skin, i would have to reapply every time I got out of the water.

I'd rather wear a shirt and not risk skin cancer.
