The take home $749M does not include Fed taxes either though, correct?
I’m thinking the real take home would be $370M?

It's unbelievable the odds. Think of all the people playing now. Still no winner. I feel like there is a higher chance to have a winner than not at this point

the takeaway before income and/or lottery winning tax was like over 450 for last nights drawing
the income and/or lottery tax that comes after is dependent on what state you live in

So there was only a 4.5% chance someone wouldn’t win?
Those numbers don't really account for any duplicates etc.

I thought you had to come forth to the public in order to accept the prize.

Probably closer to $500M.
The yearly take home if you don't take the cash option is around $40M/year according to what I read. I know you can turn your $500M into God-knows-how-much over 30 years, but your average lottery winner might be best served taking the payments if they have family that will outlive them.

It's state-dependent but even in states where you have to publicly claim it, there are ways around that with proper legal counsel.

Depends on the laws of your state.
ETA: In AZ anyone that wins more than 100k can keep their name confidential. What is public is the city and county of the prize winner.

Believe you can have a lawyer as a representative accept the prize. Name doesn’t have to be directly released.

No, the 450 ish was after taxes
The cash instead of annuity was 780 ish , then apply income tax and drops it down to 450 ish
Mondays jackpot is currently 1.9b annuity
929 million cash (pre tax)
Somewhere around 500 m after taxes (doing that math in my head, probably a little off but who cares)

I think you can still obtain anonymity even in states where anonymity isn't permitted (no idea why any state would force someone to be public, as it only would paint a target on your back) via an established trust. I'm sure there's multiple ways, which I encourage anyone to do.

Since my plan when I win is to buy the Ottawa Senators, I would have the company be the winner.

I would take the annuity. I feel more confident managing 40MM incrementally than I would 500MM at once. My desired lifestyle wouldn't be affected anyway. Probably live the same life I do now with a couple more vacations.

There has to be a way you can pass the annuity down to your kids in case of death. That’s what I would I do at this point with 2 billion on the line.

I’m starting to wonder if the computers are rigging it at this point I.e they know all combinations purchased and are selecting the ones not used until all combos are purchased. These big jackpots lead to a lot more tickets being bought thus more $$$$$
It just seems too unlikely at this point that nobody wins
