I want one of those jets where you can swim against the current in a hot tub.

That's the Fran Crippen model.

Their slogan should be “All the problems of a pool, at only 10% the price!”

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

dunno, but I have a heated pool with a hot tub portion, which can also be heated....

yes, pools are a lot of work and aren't cheap to maintain properly, but they are nice to have when it's blazing fricking hot in the middle of these long Louisiana summers...

I jump in mine while I’m mowing grass and doing chores outside. I have swim trunks for chores.

We put a pool in 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. It's the greatest thing I think I ever spent money on.

Why I also had a chiller put in mine.

It’s amazingly cold in the 110 July heat.

I’ve been looking at hot tubs for a few months. Seriously considering one of the inflatable ones just to see if we would use it before spending the money on a nice one.

Meh

I’ve never had a pool in my life, but my wife wanted one so we built one in the summer of 2019. Six months later Covid hit and we had the best summer ever as a family.

Every weekend it was different people that would come over and we would barbecue and just hang out all weekend in the pool and patio. I’m in TX so the water is plenty hot through October so every Saturday I’m in it with a beer watching my big screen on the patio.

Still do 5 years later. I buy bulk supplies every spring to last the year. Test levels and brush once a year. Pretty easy maintenance to be honest

I work from home so I love getting out in the middle of the day while on a conference call and just skim the pool and get some vitamin D.

Just depends what you want. Do you want to soak your aching back and muscles, or do you want to swim?

An ice bath is a lot more productive than a hot tub.

Just say you can’t afford it, no need to try to justify your broke arse

I got one of those 600 dollar inflatable Costco hot tubs. For the price it's not bad.

I had one of those in my front yard until someone stole it.

I think you know where to look

When we kept it up we spent about $200 a year on chemicals and probably 2-3 times that on electricity keeping it warm. My wife only uses it about twice a year so I drain it and fill it up when she wants to use it. Takes about and hour to fill it up and about 2 hours to get close to 100 degrees. With just the 2 of us using it the chemicals stay in range for about a week but usually it’s filled up on Saturday morning and drained on Sunday morning.

I disagree that pool’s are for suckers, but they aren’t for everyone for a fact.
Disclaimer - I am my own “pool” person and we have had our pool for 14 years.
They are quite a lot of work and we use ours a LOT.
My kids are adults and I will still have/use our pool until I can’t physically take care of it and THEN I will hire it done.

We had a pool at our house in Alabama. It was great.

We moved to Texas five years ago and I caved on a hot tub.

Definitely prefer having a pool.

I saw a girl bring herself to orgasm in a matter of like 5-10 seconds using one of the jets in a hot tub once.

Own of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen.

Had a pool growing up. Never used it. Parents said the worst decision they ever made

I’m planning on putting one in next year
