Ways to skirt a realator when buying?

With all the online resources now, why do realators get 6%??? I’m basically finding all the houses I want to look at or would be interested in. What do they do?
How do you bypass that process when buying? Go directly to the bank and title company?

Who else is going to unlock the door for you?

Did you even check with the bank to make sure you’re approved

For one:
Post the listing on those online resources and made sure the pictures were appealing enough to draw you in.
And the buyer isn’t the one paying them.

Selling and buying. Sucks for our realtor. On call 24 hours. Has to be middleman between clashing personalities. Helps manages all parts of the deal. Helps stage house and create an upfront punchlist of itema inspectors might catch. It seems like a royal pain in the arse.
Realtors definitely provide a valuable service.

You can make a deal directly with the sellers agent BUT they are legally obligated to protect their clients interests first. You won’t have anyone watching out for you.*
*Thats what the realtors on here will say. IMO, the realtors are watching out for themselves first anyway and are as likely to screw you as help you. I didn’t have a realtor on the last three home purchases and sales. Two went smoothly, one got all fricked up by an unethical realtor who was pulling a bunch of shenanigans and I only caught her at the very end.

Realtors can help if you're new to the area, but in my experience, everything can be handled online and through a competent attorney.

Good news. The seller has contractually agreed to pay the commission to the listing agent on the houses you are seeing. Appraised value has nothing to do with that agreement so it’s not costing you money. The seller prefers to not show or negotiate with potential buyers directly for a myriad of reasons, which is within their rights to do.
If it were me with the questions you are asking I’d hire my own realtor and they can split that commission and answer all these questions and hold your hand along the way. The contract between the seller and the agent is done.
Good luck!

Pay the fricking commission cheapskate.
You have proven over and over again you certainly belong in Port Gibson not Port Hudson and you are not a “playa”.

You’re buying, you don’t pay the realtor

I hate it when I alator, but when I re alator, I feel even worse.
BUT, to answer your questions about realtors, they earn their pay by taking a bunch of pictures of a home and uploading them to a website, and getting their husband to hammer a "for sale" sign into the ground.

do you plan on paying the realtor as a buyer?

Who is paying 6% these days?
Posted on 8/3/18 at 6:53 am to PortHudsonPlaya
You could pay cash to the owner I suppose

A buyer's agent isn't paid for by the buyer.

Also, the 6% is typically 3% for the listing agent and 3% for the buyer's agent.
