i don’t really know if she was legitimately scared.. maybe, but either way I think she wanted to subtly get it on the record that he was attempting to intimidate her. If so, pretty smart IMO

She could have done that without leaving the bench. She has removed him from the courtroom multiple times due to his behavior, all of which is on the record.

He isn't legally nuts enough, though. He's sane enough to stand trial. He's an idiot to represent himself, though having counsel wouldn't likely make a difference in the end result. He would be convicted one way or the other, perhaps not on as many charges, but even then, he will serve the rest of his life behind bars.

He is dumb and ignorant of procedures in the courtroom and he ignores those procedures of which he is aware. His behavior has been such that jury might convict of something even if not proven as punishment. No doubt they despise him at this point for his antics and for dragging this out so long.

He will likely file a mess of an appeal which will be meaningless with the exception that perhaps the appellate court will admonish his behavior in courtroom and provide another case on which judges may rely when faced with unruly defendants. He will have to file in his own name, a name which he doesn't consent to being called.

Some poor law students clerking are going to have to wade through obscure arse laws to handle his appeals

Monday morning bump.

Will Darrell's mommy testify?

Will Darrell take the stand himself?

Does the defense rest today?

Will he get zapped?

Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!

Potentially the final day of testimony

This clusterfrick of a trial is nearing its climax... and more importantly the moment we're all waiting for... will Brooks flip his lid when the guilty verdicts come in?

Did they give him some crash course on procedure? I mean how is he not totally lost? He’s actually coordinating witnesses and evidence for his own case?

The state has been helping him subpoena witnesses and get organized to avoid any accusation of bias. He's still doing awful. The judge tried to nudge him in the right direction last week and he's such a belligerent dick that he said the wrong thing when they were giving him the answer.

The State has been helping him by serving subpoenas and telling the witnesses which day to show up (based on interpreting Brooks’ instructions)

I'm surprised they're even covering it.

In the way into work this morning, NPR did a short bit on the trial of the 2 cops that were with Derek Chauvin.

So I just checked NPR's website. Not a frickin peep from those fake journalists on Waukesha. They shouldn't get any tax dollars.

So he knowingly drove a car that he knew was unsafe then?

Yep, the inspector actually noted that it was a voluntary warranty extension and not a recall. The inspector was totally accurate, Brooks is not.

So no recall and extended warranty had expired. That’s what I read.

The investigator did testify to an expired extended warranty.
