Anybody have this coverage from American Water Resources? It is supposed to cover your costs involved in the event of leaks or breaks of water pipes running from your property line to your home.

Anybody do a check on the company American Water Resources of Louisiana..........an Oncourse Company.

TIA

I had to put mine in that program after it witnessed a neighbor strangling his wife. I don't know where it is now, but I hope it is doing well in it's new life.

Why would you need insurance for something that if happens floods presumably open land?

Just get the pipe fixed and move on, would have to be way cheaper than some insurance premiums for years.

Yeah this sounds like BS, if you have a leak on the side of the meter that is your responsibility just repair it yourself or hire a plumber. Case closed.

^This

On the off chance you need it, digging in the open yard is not tremendously expensive as heavy equipment can be used.

Digging under the house is much more expensive and the access is usually covered by your existing HO insurance anyway.

or just install a WiFi controlled home water monitor like the ones being installed in most new homes
One of the many features is an automatic shutoff if water flow is detected when there shouldn't be any water flow...
Like when a toilet water supply line seal fails and fills your home with water or...
when you're on vacation and NO ONE should be in your home but your adult children decide your home would be a better place to throw a party.
