I was wondering if they'd ever change out the guards, looked like before changing out, one of the Horse Guards could hardly stand up...that's rough duty having to stand like that (although a LOT easier than being shot at)

They're changing them out. It's open 23 hours a day right now.

Appreciating a historical moment. The choreography of this whole mourning period has been pretty fascinating.

I mean, they Aren’t even getting close to the coffin, nor do they have any time there.
It’s pretty much standing in a line

I agree. The program for moving her from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall was so interesting. I would assume her funeral has been planned for a long time. I guess those guards etc... had to practice for it before she ever passed away. It is all quite stunning.

The beefeaters and the beaver hats are pulled down so low those guys might be asleep on their feet.

I joked when I was in the UK that you could stand in front of a solid brick wall and those people would line up behind you. They love standing in line.

Its amazing that in todays day people still want to be ruled

That must have been incredible timing, I just saw a changing of the guards within about a minute of opening your link.

Looking at that makes me want to drink some gin...
Side Note: Looks like Disney, the people on the scooters get to break the line.

Imagine bowing to someone who amounts to a celebrity.

We’re all ruled.
I’d prefer an old-style monarchy to what we have now to be honest.

Except for the fact that it's all, you know, ceremonial.

So interesting that there were several plans depending on where she passed away.
