Watched again today why recommending masks can be counterproductive.

Took my weekly grocery trip and saw person after person with a mask taking it on and off and adjusting it and pulling it down to talk on their cell phone. Medical folks that wear masks for a living actually get training on it. There is a process and you should wash your hands before you put it on or touch it and after you take it off. Otherwise, it is just a nice virus trap you are wearing. The Governor's "order" is weak advice and the stupidity of people is a big reason.

I really like the idiots who wear their masks below their nose.

I went to Walmart two weeks ago and the employee out front counting how many were going inside was wearing gloves and a mask. I go inside, grab a buggy and went to their little cleaning station to wipe down the handle with their sanitizing wipes. The wipes are all out. No problem, I'll just take this spray bottle and spray cleaner on the handle and wipe it off with these paper towels. The bottle was completely empty.
I went back a few days ago and the same exact thing - no wipes or spray in the bottle.
They're quick to limit how many can go in, wear masks and gloves themselves, try to direct us which way to shop down the damn aisles but it's all for show because if they truly cared about their customers, they'd make damn sure that cleaning station is always stocked.

It’s WalMart what do you expect? WalMart is about the last place I’d want to go during this.

its the same as the TSA. It's about the illusion of safety and the need for government to feel like it's "doing something" to appease the Karens of the world who freak out when we don't "DO SOMETHING!!!"

Amen brother.
The masks are a hazard when not following the proper protocol. 99% of the people are clueless.
I keep 10 feet between myself and someone wearing a nasty arse mask.
And don't get me started on the gloves.

You can watch it happen, and they keep the cleans ones past the usually storage area. Seen it at every Walmart I've been to since this started.

Same for gloves, the majority wearing gloves have no idea how to correctly remove them, and are accomplishing nothing by wearing them.

They aren't worried about you touching your face or removing your mask. They want you to wear a mask so that you don't sneeze on other people.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's all dumb and will not be wearing a mask.

It’s all theater. FEELINGS more important than facts these days.

Gloves are more ridiculous than masks for the regular people out there. But, people really need to get training on how they work.

Your not supposed to think about it. Just like in Houston, follow the edict that your 29 year old hospital interpreter county judge commanded like a good little subject, comrade or face the penalty. We know whats best for you, trust us.

I wear mask and gloves in the grocery and I only take my credit card in with me.
Load groceries in the back of the truck, return the cart to the front and throw gloves in the trash.
My biggest problem right now is getting my damn eye doctor to refill my contacts prescription. He won't do it without a new in person exam, and my glasses fog while I'm wearing a mask. What a dickhead.

The masks are to protect others from your aerosol.
