I do want that middle one though...

Mine's to 5 atm, ~150', but it doesn't have a screw down crown and that information is written around the sapphire exposing the movement.

Mine is 5atm 72.5 psi and also located around the sapphire of the exposed caseback. I didn't know if you were assuming that all autos were 150m resistant.

Just saying neither it being an automatic nor that it's waterproof down that far matters enough to be on the dial...and all that writing is a Rolex homage of sorts.

Every watch should be waterproof. If you're going down farther than you can hold your breath then you'll likely make sure gear can handle it. It's not something you reference at that time on the dial of your watch.

I'm no diver and I prefer simpler watches. Just got this for office and casual wear and I'm loving it.

Seiko automatics (i.e. "poor man's Rolex") are bullet proof, high quality, made 100% "in house" (Rolex & Patek are the only others that can claim that I believe...maybe AP) & undoubtedly the best bang for your buck on the market.

I've owned a 007 since my trip to Tokyo in 2003. It has never been serviced and is still chugging/keeping decent time, but is due to get cleaned up soon as the crown is sticking some. I also own the Prospex "Emperor Tuna" since 2013 or so. It is a beast and is the most high quality watch (case work /shroud are works of art) at under $2k I've ever handled.

The Pepsi Turtle is my next beater watch for sure. Santa may drop one off this year I think. I'm a HUGE fan of this model, Seiko, and the Prospex & Grand Seiko lines. I also wish Seiko would resurrect the "Samurai" model...

I believe the Rolex Deep Sea Seadweller is now 3900m or near 13,000 feet!

What is the max depth any human can dive with the most advanced equipment?

I believe it is 120 feet with standard scuba gear, but you've got to do some fancier mixes with your O2? Correct me if wrong.

Add specialized suit and equipment to that? How deep? 300feet? 500?

How deep can the deepest submarine dive?

The water resistance level really is just a assurance I guess. My watches are 200m and one is 150m. So already there, who can dive to 600 feet? But knowing the watch can do that, you know NOTHING I can throw at it can hurt it. If properly maintained.

So step up to a Rolex Deep Sea. No scuba diver on Earth can harm that thing while diving. Clip it to a whale and it's probably still gonna be fine.

That Sinn is purdy. I have thought about picking up the Seiko Turtle, my OM is starting to get a bit rickety. The Turtle is one good looking watch.
