Nothing wrong with 34mm! I have a 40s Movado Celestograf that is right around 34mm, and I love it:

38mm is a fine size, particularly if it is time-only. Further, the lugs can make a big difference. Frankly, my tastes lean towards 34-36mm for a time-only watch. Anything above 38mm starts to look like a dinner plate, especially when it has a thin bezel.

My watches range from 34mm, the Movado, to 42mm, some 70s Heuers.
I spend far too much time reading/writing about watches.
Alright, so a perpetual calendar that is roughly $75,000.

Unlike Obtuse, I'm a big calendar guy. I collect vintage and neovintage perpetual and complete calendars. Personally, I find that the costs of ownership are overblown. As long as you follow the instructions, they are reliable enough.

If you are OK with a shaped watch, the Patek 5040 is a great place to start. I like the tonneau shape but I understand that it is divisive. The 5040 was offered alongside the 3940, which has exploded over the last year. The 5040 has the 240 movement and has nice Breguet numerals. It's a lovely watch.

You might be able to buy a 3940J for $75,000 or under, but that is a tough buy nowadays. Personally, I believe that the 3940 is among the most beautiful perpetual calendars ever - I own a 3rd series 3940P and an early 2nd series 3941J w/ Dore dial. If you are willing to sacrifice condition - which will have an impact on the watch being an "investment" - you could probably get a lightly polished late 2nd, or 3rd series 3940J. One sold the other day at Wind Vintage for $69k that looked a little rough - at a minimum, the hallmarks were gone.

Personally, I think the best buy in PC land - aside from maybe the 5040 - is neovintage VC, which has lagged behind AP for some reason. I really, really like the VC 43031 in platinum with the "vieux paniere" guilloche dial. You can buy one in strong condition for right around $40k.

You could also get the Patek 5140. That is squarely within your price range. Personally, I'm not a big 5140 guy. Hard to get excited about the 5140 given what came before it.
I've wondered, recently, the extent to which a brand like Patek is outsourcing. I feel like Thierry will do anything to make a quick buck and I would not be surprised if some of the manufacturing for the lower-end (relatively) stuff (sub $100,000) is outsourced to China.
Mexican. Delicious, but heartburn kills me.
Are you sure your phone didn't just correct your search for "naked jews"?
Better than "bespoke." Heard the term "bespoke" ice the other day, awful.

I like dub monks. Single and double. Chapel is still one of my favorite shoes.
FIH or DFIH here. I typically prefer for my knot to be somewhat askew.
While I am not a fan of cutaway collars - medium spread to large spread, at most - a full Windsor is an atrocious knot - especially for a knit tie.

A BD oxford shirt would be preferable here.
Coolpapa, was not aware that you posted around these parts.

Well aware of Bill's tumblr.
I have a couple and have only ever worn them without the vest. They look too affected on me, personally.

With that said, there is a time and a place. Some people have the swagger to pull it off, i.e., this guy:

A three-piece suit really needs to be well tailored. Really easy to look awful.
For some reason or another, the three "crazies" I dated all went to nursing school. I have never believed that the profession is the cause.

In any event, I have a relative in nursing school. He went from being a dweeb in college, to having the attention of every female that he is around within a hundred foot radius. Absolutely crazy. He is one of a handful of guys in the whole program.

I've owned and worn the same Barbour jacket since I was 16. Guess I will put it up for a couple years.

With respect to Knot Standard - I have difficulty trusting a company with those product shots. Waistcoat too short (shirt is showing...) and shoulders are all sorts of fricked.

But you do have to be pretty slim to fit into susu. For bigger guys, I would also recommend Samuelsohn MTO/MTM. Higher price range, but their suits are well made for the price.

I would probably stick with Suitsupply in that price range. Typically, I think folks are better off sticking to cheap RTW than opting for cheap MTM.
I would say $30k ish would be fair. Nice ghost bezel. Great condition. Red sub.
