If you like the Nomos I would get that. It's got a modern simplicity to it that looks good. Also on your price range I would look at omega. Maybe planet ocean or I really like the speedmaster. You can get a nice used one in your price range

broke, et al,

looking at these seiko divers (specifically the skx007). i notice the 007J's are quite a bit more expensive than the 007k's. what's the difference? made in japan vs somewhere else? is the difference worth the increase price? J model is about twice as much

eta: went with the J model and ordered this band with it

The J's are assembled in Japan and the K's in Malaysia, that's my understanding

No difference in quality that I'm aware of.
