Do they really want to get rid of “intent” as a key element in prosecuting crimes?

You think jails are full now?

This is their counter-argument to you and I am in the same boat as you. Single-parent household and lived in a dirt poor rural area.

Being white does not mean you haven’t experienced hardships or oppression. Being white does mean you have not faced hardships or oppression based on the color of your skin. We need to be honest about the ways white people have benefited from racism so we can work toward an equitable, fair and just society.

How long have programs been in place geared towards "POC" to rise up from their situation?

Yeah, just exactly is “black culture” and how does it contribute to society in a different, yet responsible manner? I really would like to see and hear it? My non-woke mind wants to know!

The fact that you have to go through this mental exercise as an epilogue to an argument is fricking sad.

Everyone has privilege. All you have to do is compare yourself to anyone who hasn't had a single advantage you had. Doesn't matter if you grew up poor, black, one parent who was on drugs, etc... there will ALWAYS be someone out there who had it worse. Think of the poor in India and that caste system. But this idea that we have to break down any advantages into a systemic problem simply because those people in less good situations don't like their initial situation is a fricking joke. Hell, some of the people making this argument didn't even come from that underprivileged background. They're just latching on to the next idealistic tentpole.

So...the opposite of all those signs represents blackness?

Curious to see how many of these traits are found in "non-western" nations within Asia and Polynesia.

I was reading that and trying to figure out which part was the bad part? Or the part where other races would say “hey that’s not right”? Couldn't really find any.

I also think the wife being strictly a homemaker is an outdated concept that most white people do not adhere to.

I see nothing wrong with any of this.

Seriously, what is wrong with individualism, family structure, the scientific method, work ethic, punctuality, focusing on securing a future for yourself and family, justice, or competition? Seriously...

fricking seriously, the last one on there is "be polite". What the frick is wrong with being polite? Although I can see how some of the black folks here in the south would take issue with that as they're some of the rudest motherfrickers I've ever encountered. Along with New Yorkers of any race.

Interesting.

Apparently this chart was adapted from a 1990 book, so wasn't developed in response to all this new BLM wave.

Here's the author/chart developer.
