I'm the same age and feel the same way. It seems like most of the people on here will belittle you or minimize it, but it's real and if you're being serious I get it and understand. It's very painful though. You're on your own to figure out why you should keep on living while everyone else gets to experiences levels of happiness and contentment daily I haven't in years if ever. I've had depression my whole life and these are the worst times I've ever had. I feel really left behind. My former friends don't have time for me anymore, dating sites are a waste of time, women didn't go for me when I was 25 no less a decade of aging later.

I knew someone who killed himself at this age. He was a former high school and college athlete, veteran, had a decent enough job, but he had no one in his life. No spouse or anything, and lived far from family for work. He died years ago and I always wondered what he was thinking, but now I understand completely.

People telling you to embrace a hobby or whatever miss the point. Loneliness is the lack of meaningful connections. Go ahead and embrace a hobby and see how it feels when you have absolutely no one to share in your successes or failures or any moment in between. Just you, as always.

Look at this as a blessing. It’s given you time to slow down and reflect. Now you can do something about it.

Put down the news and social media. Call your parents and others you pushed away and rekindle the relationships. Go for daily walks in the sunshine. Do high volume body weight exercises. Read books and pickup things you’ve always put off.

For me, I’m finishing my bible in a year app. I’m at day 292/365. Additionally, I’m using these next 30 days radically change my diet and find some challenging home workouts.

You have purpose, you just haven’t found it, and that’s ok. Now you have the motivation and introspection to move forward. Now is the time, now is your chance!
