I'll echo what some others have said... go with POFQ

Mainly for bus situation, also less spread out.
Upper floor corner room.
Wifi is free.

Enjoy, should be a great time of the year to visit - more so than your July 3-6 trip

I liked them both. Almost identical experiences, although I liked The Caribbean pool and restaurant set-up a tiny bit more. But The French Quarter was so quiet and relaxing. Either is fine.

I've stayed at both as well and I prefer FQ over CB. CB is really spread out, so if you're not near the food court or bus stop it's a hike.

The only thing they can't ride together are roller coasters and the tea cups. Most everything else is safe for small children.

We're going the week after thanksgiving. Taking the 4yr old on her first trip. My first real vacation in 6 years. I seriously can't wait.

Does anyone here have any experience with Caribbean Beach? Pros/cons?
No experience with those, GF, Swan, CR are great. IMO Swan/Dolphin (Epcot) are best bang for the buck. GF is most upscale.

Regardless, definitely consider one of the behind the scenes tours. They're great. The underground Disney tour was awesome. Takes an entire day. They include lunch. Shows how rides are managed, history of Main Street, inside the castle, costuming, details of haunted house, and the entire underground disney network.

CB - very spread out and very large. The buses are packed and it takes forever to get through the property bus stops. I would suggest FQ unless you're driving your own car.

CB has the pirate themed rooms .. So I would request one since you have small children with you.

Have a Magical Time!

I've stayed at:

Caribbean Beach
Contemporary Resort
Port Orleans: French Quarter
Art of Animation
Coronado Beach

My favorite is still French Quarter. Not very crowded, good food, awesome late night music. The option of riding the boat or the bus - buses rarely crowded unless going to Riverside as well. Caribbean Beach is nice but can be crowded. I say just do a new one each year.

And you should really look into DVC membership if you enjoyed it that much. It's is not your typical timeshare. We are members now and should've done it 5 years ago.

frick that we aren't bringing our kids to Disney until they are like 8-10 so they can enjoy it with us.

To each their own I guess. My 4 year old absolutely loves Disney, and we have a great time every time we go. We just got back this past weekend (stayed at the Yacht Club), and it was our 2nd trip this year. She has a great time, as do me and the wife.

Good plan. My 3 year old has been twice already. There was absolutely no enjoyment to be had

The height requirements are such that an average sized 5 or 6 year old can ride every ride with the exception of maybe two - Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster and Primeval Whirl, both which are 48" requirements. Otherwise it's the perfect place for kids. Heck a thrill seeking 10 year old might think WDW is a little boring.

I'm only doing Disney cruises from now on. But I hate long lines and stupid rides. My kids vote cruise also.

I'm going during Thanksgiving this year. Staying at Port Orleans. Never stayed there but I hear it's okay.

It's getting there. I was there last weekend, white people are starting to again stay in the Upper Ninth area.
