It’s pretty shitty this wasn’t clarified earlier. This poor girl was smeared while everybody assumed she was drunk.

This fricking board. There’s some crow to be eaten if that is in fact true

Now, the other question that wasn't covered in the latest article, did she run the red light?
Posted on 2/9/24 at 12:08 am to LegendInMyMind
Or was the drunk driving with his headlight off?
Plenty of unanswered questions.

Almost everyone blamed the poor girl thinking she was underaged drinking. The other POS knew what he was doing and isnt his first rodeo

Other driver would’ve been arrested that night after a blood draw for vehicular homicide. No results yet because toxicology takes awhile on the deceased. Speculative, but that is the most likely scenario
And I get it’s a sensitive topic, but this girl could’ve killed her friends too. Everyone always asks why isn’t it the drunk driver that dies when it’s an innocent injured and killed. Well..
This aged well

It's not like it's outlandish to think a teenager was drinking and driving on New Years Eve. I don't remember anyone posting anything derogatory about her other than from what we knew at the time it seemed like she was the one under the influence.
Shitty situation either way. Feel for the parents and hope the other driver gets punished for it.

You really gonna come at me for assuming a teenager was drinking and driving on NYE?
Go spit some hot takes about Joe Potato or the trannies you love so much

Weems’ blood alcohol concentration that night was 0.0, according to her parents, who received their information from DSPD
nothing official out there before Kirin reports ? such surprise
quote:
Her parents, Nelson Weems and Chasity Johnstone, say that Denham Springs .police told them that the other driver’s B.A.C. was .09
this would break quite a few rules

the other driver’s B.A.C. was .09 when tested nearly three hours after the crash
Also, why hasn't the other driver been identified to the public?

So, basically he will walk. Maybe a little jail time for the alcohol level. But he’s already driving on a suspended license and officials don’t take drunk driving seriously. Years ago I knew of someone who on his 3rd one, finally was forced to install a breathalyzer in his car to start it. Sounds like a pos person, generally.

We should probably just let this thread die. The girl's dad posts here and probably other family members read it. The only reason we're talking about it to satisfy our own selfish and morbid curiosity and to argue with strangers about was drunk and who wasn't. I'm guilty of it as well.
Best wishes to the family

You drink and drive, you should lose your license for life. You may never drive again.
A lot of people who have had multiple DWI‘s don’t have a drivers license anymore anyway so taking away the license to me, is not enough
