This really pisses me off.

Older black dude working hard and universally liked by the people he deals with on a daily basis. Some f'in punk guns him down.

Reminds me Chester Howell, black retired auto plant worker who took a job in Shreveport selling cars to pay for his daughter's college. Two white trash vermin kill him during a test drive of a Firebird. One of my sons went to high school in the same class as his daughter.

You suggest people move from Shreveport to the safe haven cities of Baton Rouge and New Orleans?

Generally the area where this happened you don't have to worry about safety. At all, it's right next to one of our better schools. As always people crap on Shreveport, but this would be like their being a shooting by Alex Box b.c 6 min drive in either direction can get rough.

Yea I mean the houses around there can be hit or miss but it's not a bad area at all. Much less saying Bossier is shite. Bossier is way down the line on crap places to live in Louisiana. Like I say, most of the time people are on here saying make sure you carry a gun when you go to Shreveport live in New Orleans, Alexandria or Baton Rouge trying to make themselves feel better about their city. Even Monroe is worse than Shreveport for crime.

In Shreveport, unless you live in Ellerbe, you are always only a few blocks from the hood. The area where this shooting happened is not a great area either, as is the majority of the blocks immediately north and south along Kings hwy. There are beautiful old mansions for several blocks, then a crack house, then a run down apartment complex full of crime.

No sir, I’m thinking an area where there is no elephant in the room would be ideal, my baw.

A Dominos driver was killed near there, off 70th, a few years ago by some thugs wanting his very minimal cash amount. The problem is these subhumans don’t value life in any way. They need to be eradicated.

Chief Wayne Smith says someone also robbed Jamison at gunpoint on one of his deliveries in Oct. 2024. This happened at a pharmacy on Pierremont Road. No suspect has been arrested in connection to this incident.

I mean, if the cops can't catch the guy the first time, why not try again?

How's the Shreveport PD? If it's anything like I'm assuming, it's probably well past time to get the frick out of Shreveport.

Yes it is. They tore down all the old Riverwood apartments so the area there looks much nicer but they kept it low income when they built the new ones. It's actually on the same street as Plantation Park elementary(?).

From my recollection there is another Walgreens at the corner of Line & Pierremont, just a few blocks south of the Kings Hwy location. That other Walgreens has to be where he was robbed only a few months ago.

Also, I ran across an update to a story of another deadly shooting of an innocent person while reading about the delivery driver’s murder. This incident started on Line Avenue in between the two Walgreens locations:

Fourth defendent in Anglin murder case pleads guilty
quote:

Johnson reportedly drove a Dodge Charger and pursued a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Gavontay Johnson (the two are not related) on May 1, 2022. A third car, a Chrysler 300, driven by Tramaine Taylor, was fired upon by Kenmiccael Ray using a Kel-Tech assault-style rifle more than ten times. During the barrage of gunfire, 13-year-old Landry Anglin was fatally wounded inside her family’s home in the 4500 block of Fairfield Avenue.

Summary:
A rolling gun battle between the occupants of a Dodge Charger, a Chevy Cavalier, and a Chrysler 300 took place in the middle of the nicest residential area of Shreveport on a Sunday afternoon.

A 12-year old girl was with her family visiting her grandparents when a bullet went through a window and killed her.

One of the best public elementary schools in Louisiana and the most expensive private school in Shreveport are separated by two blocks. The grandparent’s house was located in between both.

That’s the problem with not only Shreveport, but too many place in Louisiana. No matter where you live, work, shop, or send your kids to school, chances are you are going to be in close proximity to dangerous areas and dangerous people.
