You should have cleaned it up yourself if you were that worried about it!
We have to check ourselves out and then bag everything these days, why shouldn't we be expected to clean up spills?

and as Im approaching the checkout area (where some random schlub is paid to ask "cash or card".....which is retarded)...some dude grabs a Gatorade out of a fridge, drops it, and it blows up spewing Gatorade all over the floor right in front of where everybody walks to check out. I found the first lady I saw in a Wal-Mart vest and, being a good guy, I told her, "Ma'am, there is a big spill right here (pointing at it....it was everywhere). She looked at me and said, "I'm so sorry, but I just punched off the clock". I said, "Uh...well....just figured I'd let you know"...and I walked out

So you just walked out without paying for your shite?

Eh. I don't want to see the shareholders punished because your average retail worker dgaf. Why do you?

shouldn't have put those shares into business models based on hiring people that don't give a frick

That's just the talent pool at lower skill levels. It's not like there is something negligent the Company is doing while hiring.

If an incident does occur, then of course I expect the Company to be on the hook but why would I hope for it? It wouldn't be some
meaningful suit that revolutionizes the way Walmart hires.

Naturally the guy that caused the mess didn’t give a frick about it and left.

And what, raise my insurance costs? Nah, just let ‘em slip, and slide and keep them prices low.

Doesn't sound like a WalMart problem but a problem of where you live.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily hoping it happens because, yes, it won't change anything with their penny pinching.

However, I have a retail business and easily manage to hire people -- one after another -- for 20 years that do give a frick.
It's actually very easy since my business model is to make it a a pleasant job and not be an absent shareholder upstream from 100 other layers of management. Take responsibility for my business.

I don't fault her.

1. She'd probably get in trouble for cleaning the spill. Either for working unpaid, or if she clocked back in, for being over hours.

2. Walmart pays shite.
