I knew a guy who tried to climb from the back of a pickup to the boat they were hauling to get another beer out of the cooler.

As for the back door being open.... thinking like crazy college kid me, I wouldn't be surprised if the boy decided to open the door and pee out the back of the party bus seeing as it was 3am on Airline. Probably no other cars around and he thought it would be funny.
Brother tried to catch him and fell too.
