Agreed. Good vodka has no taste, that's why I stick to inexpensive vodka since I mix it with zero calorie, flavored water. But yesterday, I had quite a few Crown Reserve's on the rocks, then when that ran out, I switched to expensive, dark rum.

Most of the hardcore alcoholics I've known, like the kind of people who are either at the bar or drinking at home every night, only drink vodka or domestic beer.

The idea of drinking something for the taste every once in a while is alien to them.
