And I was surprised that all of the Uber drivers had never heard of TD. Even one had the nerve to say that this is Tulane territory. I thought this site was the pride of Louisiana…

You speak the truth, brew. There’s a hard core uptown conservative few. The rest tote murses, ride bikes to combat climate change and wear fedoras.

You asked transplants. You needed to ask the guy who moved from Metairie or Kenner to Uptown.

There are a good amount of middle of the road conservatives living in the city, mainly products from the private Catholic school system. Many are generational. You don't know about it because they stay out of politics, are not activists, and are accepting of the anything goes mentality in the city.

I bet a lot of the humor and levity on this site, which brought character and flavor to TD, is from that community.

IDK, they all had some pretty gnarly NOLA accents.

I agree with one poster in this thread: rule 1, you don’t talk about TD is actually a thing.
