I really don’t understand their reasoning, especially in this day and age with internet streaming. Christians constantly remind their children that the church is not the physical building but the people who come together there to fellowship and commune with Christ. The building is just the medium for that to occur, and probably the best option normally, but certainly not during a freaking pandemic.

Tbh if this is the case it sounds like to me your faith is placed more in preachers, church goers and men than in the Jesus Christ
The Bible tells us over and over that men will continue to fall short of the mark and this is just yet another example

Unfortunately, the reasoning for many is probably revenue.
I can’t stand when people like this guy use “God will protect me” as an excuse to do something stupid. God gave us a brain for a reason. I can say that God will protect me, but if I’m stupid enough to go sit in the middle of I-10, I fully expect God to facepalm and let free will take its course. A very wise man once said “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” That man was named Jesus.
