"This lady was obviously impaired and had been driving back and forth down Elliott all morning, as the water rose. My uncle stopped her from coming one last time and she zoomed off, nearly hitting a truck. She recklessly put these men's lives in danger. She should be prosecuted."

She did not look sober. But she's not the star of this video. That guy jumps in like he's done it before. I'm watching it real time talking out loud saying the dogs gone lady, geto the boat. Then this guy pops up with the dog! Like something you might see in Hollywood except it's real life. Awesome video

This is a classic example of good people putting themselves in danger because of the idiocy of other people. I rescued some folks during Katrina and was pissed at them the whole time. They put themselves in the situation and then just expected us to come get them when it went wrong.

Agree. My first thought was she was a stupid shithead but I think the first concern I would have once I felt safe would be to want to rescue my dog too if it was still in the car. She also may have been special/cracked out which she also seemed to be
