I always hear about Dallas Fort Worth and Indy has an NFL and NBA team. Depends on what part of the country you live in. Living in Columbus OH I hear about Indy quite a bit. The drive from Cbus to Indy may be one of the most boring drives in the world. Plus some counties are dry and some aren't, which is weird but I guess because Indiana is pretty white bread religious. Indy's downtown is nice but I wouldn't want to live there or anywhere else in the state. Especially South Bend. Which is a shite hole outside of the University.

Milwaukee is not talked about much.

Detroit is not talked as much as it used to be, but it is still talked about. Detroit used to be crack city central with gangs and random killings and it went bankrupt but compared to Chicago, Detroit isn't talked about as much.

Sacremento. I know nothing about it other than the Kings.

eta:

Going to add Cleveland and Cincinnati to this. Other than their sports teams, I know nothing.

Indianapolis is far from a shithole.

Clean downtown area. Really cool restaurants. Great convention city.

USAV just announced Indy as 2022 host for the 60k plus attendance volleyball juniors NC over a 10 day period. Indy just hosted in 2019, so they must be doing something right.

There are lots of them worldwide. Like for example I bet half the posters on this site had never even heard of Wuhan before Covid and Wuhan is the size of NYC. NYC for reference is the 44th most populated city in the world. The next one in our country Los Angeles is #107. That’s how many huge cities are out there.

Columbus is a very nice town, and larger than most people think. It's about twice the size of New Orleans.

Mexico City is pretty large.
Over 9M in the city limits and over 20M in the greater area.

Oh living here it is 2 different countries. No one ever goes to Fort Worth unless you are going to the rodeo or there for a specific reason.

I just think talking about crime and weather they are kind of bunched together

Not sure what the cutoff is for a city being “very large”, but I’m not sure if i’ve ever heard Omaha mentioned in any kind of conversation or news.

China has 50 cities with 2.1M people or more. Most people don't realize this.

Kinshasa, DR Congo, is the world's most populous French speaking city.

San Jose is more populated than San Francisco.
