I'd say Columbus, OH. It's pretty nice and a lot bigger than people realize.

El Paso is very underrated. It’s the safest city in the country with a pop. over 500k

It gets a bad rap because it’s next to Juarez

I go for work a few times a year and enjoy it

ABQ is a drug infested and crime ridden shithole. Not sure how anyone gets around those facts.

Lahore, Pakistan (11 million people)

Also, there are 102 cities in China with over 1 million people.

Not “very large” (like most cities mentioned in this thread), but Laredo, Texas has 250,000+ residents. Surprised me when I saw that figure recently. Easily the largest city in Texas that I’ve never visited.

That may be true, but when they opened the new airport it was a huge improvement over what they had.

There are at least 20 cities in China with 5M+ residents. 20 months ago I imagine 99% of Americans had only heard of Beijing and Shanghai. Now they know about Wuhan too.

Didn't see a mention of Cape Town. It's positively gorgeous, and the last decent area of South Africa.

Long Beach, CA has a population of 460,000. It is probably overshadowed by Los Angeles. Also Fresno, CA has a population of 525,000.

Omaha…is very nice

Beg to differ. I live 4 houses down from Warren Buffett and can safely say Omaha sucks. Nothing to do, lot of homeless, 80% of the city is run down, snow is brutal in the winter, bunch of retarded NIMBY liberals in an otherwise red state, laughable real estate market thanks to Berkshire’s iron grip, senseless road layout with random one ways at different times of the day etc.

The only two positive things I have to say about Omaha is that utilities are cheap and there is some decent food here (Italian and steaks mostly).

My first roommate in college was from Lahore. One of his grandfathers had served a turn as mayor. I think it was his mother's father.

He was a pretty funny kid. I remember one of his friends, Fuad, had purchased a Volvo to drive around and my roommate mocked him pretty badly for it.

"You must feel safe in your Volvo, eh Fuad? It seems a very safe car. You need not fear accidents in your new machine, Fuad. Oh, I am entirely serious, Fuad. Your safety from roadway accidents is of great importance, great importance indeed. You must sleep well at night, knowing your journeys shall be safe ones. Very good, Fuad. It is a very beautiful machine, to be sure."

Pretty sure Pat Buchanan threw all that shite in there. Just tossed it right out the window of this Mercedes.

Columbus OH

It’s larger than Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Buffalo, Kansas City....and yet people think its a small college town. Columbus is the fastest growing city in the entire Midwest.
